About Our Research:
We are a group of people who are interested in using chemistry and biochemistry tools to understand human health in molecular level. We are specifically interested in the roles of carbohydrates, peptides, glycopeptides, and glycoproteins (glyco = sugar) in biological systems. We are endeavoring to take our research to explore ways or provide insights on treating human diseases. We will stewardship the created intrinsic laws of chemistry in biological systems to enhance human health for the common good. Our research focuses on how sugars are involved cell-signaling pathways. We will use synthetic chemistry tools to help us understand the details of the roles of the sugars in these pathways.
